I saw a bull calf out of him and he was a stud. Won the bull show at Pa Farm Show.

I've seen the bull in person as well, he is a stud.

Here is the bull calf that won Harrisburg. He is a late June and IMO had plenty of depth and rib shape.

Just wanted to update this thread, I was able to meet with the breeder of Shell Shocked on Sunday and he had a fall born shell shocked daughter......and wow was she sweet. Great fronted, level hipped and enough depth for 2 calves. She can change a lot I know, but she was dang impressive so far.

Going to bump this thread because I am curious if there are any more good calves out there people have seen?

I have one coming in March, there are some others out there that I know of. The calf from my previous reply has grown into quite the broody looking female.

Wanted to add these pictures from the breeder of Shell Shocked. The top bull is a May and was selected as the Champion Bull at the Big East in Mass. While the bottom bull is a June and was the Res Grand at the Pa Farm Show just last week.

I’m pretty excited to get mine in March, and will breeding some heifers to him in the spring.

Thanks for sharing WinterSpringsFarm. Glad to see some more success with the calves. Any heifer calves out there making any waves? I will also be breeding to him this spring, and please keep us updated on your March calf!

Thanks for all the photos/info you've been able to provide WinterSpringsFarm. Really looking forward to breeding to him this spring. Any recommendations on what type cows he is working best on?

I spoke with the breeder this evening. He says he is adding lots of front 1/3 extension, lots of middle and great hair.

Of the calves I've seen in person the depth and spring of rib is great, and the heifers are the kind to make great cows.

We had our first Shell Shocked this weekend. A little bull calf, 280 days gestation, 58 pounds. His dam is an Upgrade x Club King 2nd calf heifer. He is one of the smallest calves we have had! His face is very long, not sure where that comes from.
Our next one is due in May. Another Upgrade sired female.

Had my shell shocked last night....a deep cherry red bull calf

I haven't weighed him yet but id bet 60lbs. He came backwards and if I let her go she probably coulda had him herself, but the outcome woulda been different I think. Will update later this morning with pictures.
