Looking forward to pictures WSF... Going to be breeding to him next month about this time. Red huh? Any Chrome on the calf?

The calf was 65lbs, and I'd say he is built like a calving ease calf, kinda slender and long. Remington Secret Weapon is a documented carrier of the red gene, so red is an option on some calves I suppose. As for the white, he has a dot on his head and some white at his navel. His dam is a brockle face with some white on her belly.

I will be using Shell Shocked on some heifers this spring, as I believe he is calving ease.

Thanks for the pics WSF.. How do you like the calf's look other than his color? Haha. Do you have any more due this spring?

This calf is from what I'll call a more "common" type cow. So as of right now the calf looks just ok. The other calves I have seen out of Shell Shocked have been pretty awesome though. As for red, I like it....just wish it was a heifer. Lol

I do not have any more due this year. But will keep you updated as this calf matures.

Lucky enough to purchase the first Shell Shocked daughter to go to auction at the PA Simmental Spring sale last Saturday. We planned on purchasing a different heifer from Greg Stewart, but were blown away by the width and structure of the Shell Shocked. I've attached some pictures. She makes our yearling heifers from the Hudson Pine's sale look small..

That's awesome OEF Simm. I talked to Greg that morning because that heifer caught my eye. I am going to be breeding two heifers to shell shocked next week. Any more pics would be awesome even if its in a PM.

Here are a few i took yesterday. Hard to believe she's only 11 months old... She's in the middle of the last picture between our HPF Sazerac x TKCC Classified heifer and a bred heifer from Pine Creek Show cattle.

We had a Shell Shocked bull calf born December 2017, weighing 80 lbs. He's solid black, out of a long, tall, solid black purebred Simmental cow that goes back to STF Dominance, Beef Maker & Dream On. This calf has a great attitude and a lot of style, so we look forward to showing him. We have another Shell Shocked calf due later this year & I'll probably AI another cow to him this month.

He doesn't seem to be throwing the white face. Ours has just a small speck of white coming out of his nose, that is it. Right now, at 60 days, he is average compared to his contemporaries. I have a second Shell Shocked coming in May, so we will have more to judge on. I have several bred for fall calves, and I used him on heifers. I believe he is calving ease also.

Here is an updated pic of our Shell Shocked bull calf. He is a Feb calf, so about 70 days old now. He is starting to grow, and looking better every day. He has a long, thin face. It was odd when he was younger, but he is growing into it.

Is he throwing any red calves? Doesn't seem like it, but I've been looking for something out crossed from what I've got and he's impressing me. If he's bred on a red cow do you think the black will dominate?

Shell Shocked is Hetero Black. If he is bred to a red cow the odds will be 50% black/50% red for the calf.

Lot 16 will be selling may 5th. Not the best picture but willing to bet she looks the part in person!
