Steer Planet - New Website and App - Coming Soon!

Over the next 2 weeks we should have a complete redesign of both the frontpage and the forums of Steer Planet, the classifieds/auction will follow shortly after.  The upgrade includes a large upgrade to the forum software that adds a ton of new features as well as more security and stability.

The upgrade also ties into the release of a Steer Planet App on both the iphone and android devices.

I have been doing testing on another server to make the rollout process as seamless as possible.

I just want to know what you do in you spare time. Keep up the good work!

seems like before if you "hovered" over a thread it would show the first few words ....this helps me remember if I already read the thread and was interested

looks like that is not happening right now  did I imagine this?

Nope, it definitely did that before. I used that feature a lot as well. It is not there for me any more either.

I will get that added here shortly.

I'm sure there used to be a drop down box from the home toolbar to go directly to the page preferred.
ie: Forum>Big Show.  Currently we need to click through extra page to get there.

Still miss the option to hover over a thread for brief information on topic.

These are perhaps the same function.

Both coming.  The message over mod is not compatible with my current installation, but I am positive I can get it to work.

Still getting menus populated, will definitely have dropdown for moving around quicker.  Thanks for input.

Taking a little longer than expected, but working to add a few features we are missing after the upgrade.

Question.... If we want to inform people of a sale coming up, does that go in the classified section? I looked and we have to create another user name? Is that right?

Yes, there is a section in the classifieds for upcoming sales.  Yes, need to register a new username as it works off a different database.

Karma fixed, but old entries are not in there.  I need to change the structure to get them imported, but shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Just wondering if the steerplanet app is out yet, I check for it about once a week am I missing it or what? Just excited for An app of steer planet love reading through everything

Very soon, got busy working on a few projects other individuals, but will have it done in the next month.
