Yes, the premise is that I am working on a modification for our forum that would allow each classified ad to be posted in their respective locale.

When you placed an ad in the classified section, it would give you the option to choose a craigslist area and that post would include your ad + a link back to the ad of this site so the person could contact you.

The generic ads that you see were submitting on threads in the classifieds that I was making than deleting to test.  The good news is it works, the bad news it is a few steps away from people fully automated or at least minimally evasive.

If craigslist would ever open up an api, it could be done simply.

There is no way to fully automate it because of the captcha image, but I have been trying to pass information through an iframe to populate craigslist fields.  It is really not working that well.

The other way would be to just generate the content for the user to post, provide the link, but the user would still need to actually paste and click post.

So this idea might be on hold until craigslist changes their policies, which might not happen.

The good news, there is an excellent response from the craigslist post, I recommend everyone post their item in the farm/garden section.

LOL.  Look at it this way - you didn't have to pay for that entertainment.

I wasn't even about to watch that action unfold.... although I probably could have rented him out for a couple hours.  <rock>

I had someone place my semen ad on Craigslist.  I sent them a note asking why they placed my stuff on there, and never heard back.
