We had two McKinley bull calves a year ago. Both are completely different. Size wise they seemed to follow their dams.
One bred to a larger frame chi x cow, not known for her gentleness, calf is large framed and you could pet him in the pasture, not much to look at show wise.
Other bred to a moderate framed docile simmy cow, calf is moderate framed, a tremendous individual really. Would have made a really competitive show steer. Crazier than a three peckered billy goat.
We sold both as feeders to the same person. I guess I will have to go take another look. I realize that is only 2 calves. I would love to here more about his calves as well.
