My brother in law ran into some weather spotters this afternoon and said the storms coming in are linig up to be the worst they have seen since the 1940's.  Please everyone take care and heed the warnings!  Shutting down my computer now, have a safe evening.

There were a bunch of them popping up around her last night and looks like more tonight.  Quite a bit of tornado damage in the local county.  This has been a wild Spring.

Take care and God Bless,

RSC

We are fine so far... been in a warning, spent some time in the basement, and got some rain.  I haven't heard of any damage but did hear there was some hail and at least one tornado spotted on the ground.

I spoke to Tim Loudon from B Good Livestock in Creston, Iowa this morning. They lost a calving barn at his place and 2 barns at his Dad's place last night. Tornado passed within 50 feet of his mom and dad's house to take the barns. Thank God everyone is allright. No one was hurt na dthe livestock were un injured.

I heard that Tim Loudon went to his dad's place after midnight to see the damage. He had two ET calves in one of the barns that was destroyed. As he shone the flighlight, these two calves were standing where the barn used to be... chewing their cud!  Obviously it takes more than a tornado to throw them off!

That's just cause Tim raises 'em extra tough!  We had a bull that came from him here for two winters.  Fearless dude, he chased down oppossum's, raccoons, and stood in a blizzard for fun  (lol)

But really, I sure hope everyone gets through these tornadoes ok..scary stuff.

we just had a tornado go over us. well, almost. the tornado had just sucked back up into the clouds a few miles away from us, and it was coming back down right before our house. my dad went up on our hill to check things out when this 1/2 tornado sucked the pop cans out from the back of his truck.

There were tornadoes around me, but we didn't so much as get a slight wind gust till the second set of storms.  Not even a drop of rain.  There was a tornado on the ground pretty close to me though.  I guess that all I can say is thank got that everyone is ok. (angel)

Wow!!  I just talked to Tim Loudon on Sunday at the IA Junior show.  I've been to his place and I'm sure sorry to hear they had that much damage.  Thankfully, everyone is OK!!

Very strong winds here last night.  Took the family to the basement in the middle of the night.  Nothing important damaged.

Here's a few pictures.

Here's a a little of what was goin' on over my head yesterday between 5 and 6pm, est.  I'm in central, lower Michigan.  Thankfully, none of these potential tornado formations came down as I stood there looking up through the lens of my new (and way fun) Nikon SLR Digital, but north of here there was some damage and big winds.  Thanks to my Spring Mobil Broadband and Mac laptop (do I sound like an ad?), I was able to stay connected on the internet even though my power was out.  When the clouds formed up into the picture I have labeled "rotation", I finally gave it up and headed for cover!!

Here are storm pictures from last Thursday.    It was eerie because the wind had stopped blowing at our house and we could hear the tornado sirens going off in town.    I don't think anything ever touched the ground around us but there had been some west of us in this same storm front.
