stretch wrap a round bale?

I know that there was a discussion about leaving wrap on a round bale. Setting it on end and then cutting half of the wrap off and letting cattle eat the top half of the bale while the bottom half was held to gether almost like a round bale feeder.

I guess that I was wondering about setting 10 bales in the lot with cattle and 9 of them would be stretch wrapped. You would use 1 bale feeder. You would cut the wrap off one bale at a time and throw bale feeder over it. You would need a 50,000$ tractor setting there to feed a bale say once a week. Wrap might do the same thing but it seems like chewing occurs through the regular bale wrap. And then some people like me still have a twine baler. whoops you would not have to have a tractor sitting there.

The wrap I'm talking about is like what they use on seed corn pallets or feed mill pallets.

I used one of these on a farm in Australia. It works really slick, but unless you have enough space to store all your bales on the ground, you still need a loader of some sort to stack/unstack the bales.

They are pretty cool -In the early 90s I had one to use where you just backed into the bail and the holder just fell over the bail to hold it-drove down the roads to the cows-backed up and hit the brakes the bale rolled off-No winches etc. O0
