I've been looking into upgrading my handling facilities. I've been looking at the Stronghold model 640 chute. I really like the controls at the front and back of the chute. Some of my cows seem to hate the self catch headgate that I use now. I wondered if anyone had any thoughts or experience with stronghold products.

Call Curt Hively at Highland Livestock Supply.  He's a Stronghold dealer and a straight shooter. They have an advertising banner to the left of this post. Good people.

great multi-purpose chute. got one with the dutch side door for getting calves to nurse and bull semen testing. main reason we got it vs the old squeeze is I clip 35 head of sale cattle in it. most of the year I run cattle through it myself, one at time walk them up the alley and running the headgate standing in the back of the chute with the rear handle. i'll miss one now and then, still better than trying to get the self catch to lock.
