I have a friend with a steer weighing 1160.  OUr county fair is not until July 25 and we have a 1400 pound weight limit.  Any suggestions on holding him WOuld be appreciated.  He is an very good looking HetwavexAngusXcunia steer.

what i would do is give him this feed called winning fill. its made with mostly hay, and a little corn. i had a steer gain 60 pounds in a couple months, bvut he will gain, but he wont be stail. hope this helped you.

Isn't the judge going to kill you on rate of gain? Might be time to pour the corn to him and eat him April 1.
