Oh sorry, I guess I need to clarify. We're trying to breed good cattle that will work in the show ring or as replacements. We want to keep some maternal traits too. We believe that if you get clubbies wound to tight or too crossed up you run into problems. We arent really tied to a particular breed.

Not sure he'd moderate...but Grizzly Bear is a THF PHAF bull from Lautners who should be fine for 2nd calvers. Monopoly x Irish Whiskey. Or how about Carpe Diem from Trauschs.

I don't think carpe diem is double clean. Isn't he thc?

We are going to use Mercedes Benz and Shear Pleasure (3/4 simmi bull)
Both could be used on heifers but we felt they would throw calves a little bigger

Are you going by experience, or what others have said? Have you had calves by this bull?

Thank you for your responses and hopefully they will help others. We like I-67 too. We also like Grizzly Bear because his bottom side is real maternal. Has anyone used Combustible or Moose on 2nd calf show cattle?

Yes I am speaking from experience I have had two comfort zone calves. I have also been making farm visits all over the western US the last couple of weeks. There are a bunch of good ones out there from this bull. If you have any questions do not hesitate to call.
Thanks

We are currently using Time Saver as our non carrier bull. He is very consistant with his breeding. We have never had a bad one out of him and all of his calves have been calm quiet cows. They make great replacement heifers and have just had two first time calvers out of him have Angus calves and were really impressed.
