I thought there were some definite buys for those looking for an outcross bull.  There were several sired by what are considered to be among the top non-Trump bulls available and out of elite non-Trump cows that sure will work.  In my opinion, somebody missed the boat on a few of them.

I thought a good buy was lot 98 the red meat son out of a K-Kim cow. He brought $4500 and when I was out there over christmas breaking working on the bulls getting ready for denver even though he was a little harder haired, he was a stout thick made bull but was really sound complete bull. I thought that was a good buy but just my opinion.

i thought there were some definite good buying to be done.  Some very good prices but also some excellent bulls and females that I thought were good value. Between the embryo sale and the No Bull sale the next day, they grossed over $1 million so there is usually some good buys in sales of this size.

He was one of the two we were interested in the beginning. He went back to the original Mona Lisa & the old Byland Dazzler bull. We were contending bidder on lot #93. We told our friend to go to $12500 & we had the bid at $12k. Then Rumpke bid $12500 & our guy didn't know if we wanted to go any higher.

I liked that lot 93 bull alot too. He was one you had to admire the power, muscle, and dimension that he possesed and still managed it in a sound balanced package and his cow family is second to none.

When I see what the bulls brought I was suprised.  My dad had talked about going up thier and trying to buy a bull or two but he and I decided it was a long trip to not be able to afford a bull.  He should have went because most were in his price range. I think a lot of people probably assumed the same thing.
