Hi JIT and Uluru:

I hope to get up to Kisbey Sale day to see you and the bulls. Can't wait to see
how some of the bulls I saw last fall have developed, especially lots 15 and 33.
I am guessing that lot 33 could be the best bull but maybe I am showing just a little favourtism,LOL!!!

Gee, I wonder if you like his Sire also?? :) :)
I thought the lot 33 calf sure showed alot of thickness and quarter when I saw him last fall.
Like I said,it will be interesting to see how he's developed.

Hats off to the guys at the Sun Country bull sale, once again they put to get a great set of bulls. Two bulls really caught my attention, lot 6 as he shows tremendous thickness and style and has wicked numbers such as a BW of 87 a SOT of 486 and a EOT of 997 just shy of 1000 pounds and hes the youngest calf on test, in my mind that's performance at its best. Not only does he have a great set of numbers behind him he is backed by the great the Glenford herd and on the upper side he goes back to the great Muridale Buster 16K. The second bull is lot 19 a HC Timeline X Shouflers El Bonitio this bull shows a massive amount of thickness and muscle shape wrapped up in a stylish package. I have always admired Timeline scene I saw him pictured in the first bull sale catalogue and I know hes going to have a great impact on the shorthorn breed.

we decided not to do the online sale this year... for a few reasons. #1, we had no bidding online last year, and #2 we had several potential buyers who told us they were going to bid online but due to some problems with their computers, missed the bulls they were interested in and #3 ... we had very mixed reviews about the quality of the video. Some people told us they were interested in a particular bull and found out that the bull they were seeing online was already sold. We also had reports that the pictures were distorted a little, and we feel that buying a herd bull is far too important to have the bull not appearing as he actually is.

Because of all this confusion we decided to go back to the dark ages and use the telephone with a live person on the other end to discuss the bull and to take their bids.... and hopefully those that want to bid can. The only real negative is that other interested people cannot watch the sale online. ( Besides the several hundred dollars to get Internet into the sale barn, and the $2000 to have it broadcast)

I would like to thank all the SP members who inquired and bid on our bulls in our bull sale. We had emails, PMs, and phone calls from SP members all across Canada and from Ohio to Texas in the US. Also had an inquiry from an SP member in Australia. The world is becoming a much smaller place. Thanks again. Your interest in what we do up here is very much appreciated!
