With the millions of supplements (powders, pastes and pellets) on the market by Sullivans (fresh and feminine, stretch, winning fill, keep n on, sure champ, juiced), Purina (ultra full, depth charge, fitter 35), Stand Alone, and countless others, it is often hard to sort through which ones are worth the money, while still being palatable.

Which ones do you find beneficial to feed on a daily basis, leading up to or during a show, or in certain circumstances that you find make a noticeable difference?

We don't buy a lot of the supplements, but rather buy the ingredients that go into those supplements.  However, I am a believer in Fresh & Feminine.  There is something in there that just seems to work.  We can get a steer fat to .4 or .5 of cover...and no heavy brisket to go with it.

We have used Natural Stride, but don't really see a difference between that and Fluid Flexx from a farm supply store.

Beet Pulp or Precon (Receiving Chow) seem to put about as much middle in them as anything.

Kelp Meal is the active ingredient is so many of these hair growth supplements, and we buy that stuff for about $1.00/lb.

The only thing that every steer in the barn gets is Sure Champ. We use a handful of different supplements depending on the animal but that's our go-to for every one of them.
