Need advice/opinions:

We are feeding this to our steers for the 1st time (use Umbarger feeds), they are looking good/eating fine, etc.  My question is (for those who use it) when it is time to switch to finisher/add fat (if need be)/etc.  do you continue with the Sure Champ pellets or do you pull them off of it  do to its high in protein (25%) and fiber (10%) with only around 2% fat.  Fat additive has been power fuel, but thinking of trying glucoat or stablized rice bran this year.  Just not for sure about best way to use the pellets during finishing stages.  Thanks in advance.

We still fed it when we switched to finisher. Never really thought about not feeding it. Tried Glu-Coat, didn't notice anything on last years steers. This year used the stabilized rice bran and really noticed a difference. It really does smooth out the finish.

Keep on feeding the Sure Champ...you will notice a lot less accurances of them going off feed with it, and with the amaferm it should make the diet changes easier on them...I also second the Rice Bran...some other products may be capable of putting more finish on them, but I have never seen anything finish one as smoothly as Rice Bran...I like Golden Flo because it will really put the finish on them, I have used it along with rice bran and got a really good, smooth finish on them.
