i say he wont get any bids today for the bull or semen. not for what they are based at. if they was to get some real good calves on the ground out of him that go on to do something above a county fair level, then they might have an intrest in him but not untill then.

i am to the point that i would shy away from buying any high doller or rare semen. who knows how many times it has changed hands. i would rather risk 25-30 per straw than 500+ per straw.

This entire sale is a joke. Nothing based lower than retail...if you want to pay retail right off the bat, go to a distributor, why do these consignors immediately get a premium for having the stuff in their tanks?
Also, anyone notice that on every single bull that has multiple lots there will be one bidder winning all lots of that bull? Just my opinion, but I would think there would be more than one person interested in some of those bulls and I just find it odd that every bull has someone in on them that wants every lot of that bull. The whole deal is sketchy. Good way to lose credibility, makes you wonder how much you can believe from any of these online sales....

protect yourself, by all means...I am not against selling things at a higher price, but don't blatantly toy with things...people are smarter than that.

Exactly Ohiocow.  How in the world were they dumb enough to put bid incraments of $2.00 on EMBRYOS?!?  The bids have gone $200, $202, $204, etc.  Surrender himself has no bids with 4 hours left.  He's starting at $3500.  Not worth it.  $2000... maybe.  I can buy ALOT of sticks of semen for $3500, probably over 6 years worth for even an average size herd, and thats all bulls really last, and I betcha the calves will be 50% more marketable as show calves. (In most cases)  I was kinda intriuged by Blackberry though, the Monopoly son.
