I had a heifer last year that would sweat alot.  It is concerning especially when it is getting colder out but she ended up alright.

Could it be condensation from the temp. changes that have been occurring? I've never really heard of a calf sweating per say. 102.3 degrees is normal temp. for cattle.

Not sure where your located but we started having a lot of condensation on our calves with the weather changing last week.  BUT then I notices one of our steers was drying so stupid me started having my daughter blow him out before school.  He ended up coming down with a fever and she said when he didn't dry like the others chances were he was sweating with the fever...and after a round of antibiotics he's dry by the time he's done eating.  Don't know if that helps but thats our story.
