Not sure what to do.  We're going to help a friend by AI'ing his heifer with him bringing her to us so we could CIDR, heat detect and breed.  He said the heifer got out with his herd bull the night before he was going to bring her to us to start the process.  He doesn't think he bred her (not sure what makes him think that).  If we still go through with this as planned, what can we expect if we CIDR with GnRH on May 25, pull CIDR and Lute June 1, and breed June 3 - 4?  Will the CIDR protocol cancel out the breeding if she got bred?  If she cycles as expected June 3 - 4, does that mean she wasn't bred and the AI'ing will take like nothing happened?  Should we abort the possible breeding before trying any CIDR'ing and AI'ing?  If so, we'll have to wait until June 1 (11 days post breeding) to abort and then CIDR or Lute 5 days later.

She should still work fine on that program.  If she was bull bred the lute shot will abort her and it has not been long enough for a pregnancy to affect her much at all assuming this happened in the last week or so.  Honestly, if she is cycling then I would even skip the CIDR and just lute her and breed when she come in.

Well, that's the first thing we thought.  Why did the bull destroy two gates to get to the pen these heifers were in?  There were two heifers.  I asked how the heifer was acting.  Did she have her tail sticking out, did she have a hump in her back, was she dirty, was her hair ruffed up, did she look like she'd been rode?  No, to all the questions.  The reason we wanted to bring her to our place, is when he cidr's and heat detects, you really aren't sure what is what by his description of who was riding who, standing, when, etc., etc.  He's a good, long-time friend but drives us nuts when he wants his cows bred and we don't get a good conception rate due to his detection watching.
