It sucks to have to promote this, but there is a medical expense online auction for my mother, Terri Keffer, as she battles aggressive cancer. An amazing set of breeders came to us with a great variety of embryos and semen. Sale will be posted on LiveAuctions.tv soon and will run from Dec. 5-12. No matter what breed you love, there might be something in this for you.
Cancer sucks! KCK

There was a group that held a benefit for my dad a few years back.  Definitely helped.  Good luck with the benefit and even more so for your Mom!

Thanks Mike. It means alot:)
I did. Dr Hawkins sent me to Keffers/NAILE  when I was a student at MSU. Your parents had at least 20 head and we were tied in the same aisle as Ace Polled Herefords ( before star lake). Colt was very small and KC maybe 6?  Your mother made a very cool play area for Colt in the tack area... a sand box with plenty of toys!
I thought all day about Keffers the day you posted.  Colt did not play in the sand box but everyone else did!  I learned alot - Keffers never left the stall area, greeting everyone who stopped to look at herefords and talk cattle.  KCK call me when the sale starts... I posted your link on my fb page.

Sue, that is a great one! I remember that, if only a little. I do know the crew got more use out of it than Colty did!

Jared- the Keffer's will always be there to help, just short one strong, amazing woman!

Just got word that Terri passed away this morning.  Our hearts go out to the Keffer family in this difficult time.

Like someone said on Facebook.  I can just hear her standing at the pearly gates this am saying "Open this damn gate, I'm coming in!!!"

Rest in Peace Terri.  Thanks for all you have taught me and countless others about the beef industry.

To say our cattle family has lost a great one is an understatement.  It's hard to put into proper words right now.  She was truly awesome.  Say a prayer for the family, then crack a cold one and toast Terri.  She would like that best.  (angel)

Jason- it was great. Thanks to everyone who donated, bid and bought. Brought in over $37,000 to help pay the medical and funeral expenses. Thanks for the promotion. KCK
