Wondering if anyone else has had any TH FREE MAB calves yet? I know his 1st crop is hitting the ground now. We had a nice bull calf born yesterday. Curious if anyone else had same results so far

I've had seen some very plain MAB's that must have been TH free.  They were tall and leggy, not much to them even out of Charolais and Char X cows.  Great dispositions though.

Knock on wood we've had great success with our MAB calves. That's why we decided to try his son. Just curious if anyone else tried him. These would be the 1st crop out of him and havent seen any on his blog yet.

From what I can tell is that is a nice looking calf. What is the pedigree on the cow? Also what is MAB working best on?

I believe mainegirl is asking about calves from the bull named TH FREE MAB rather than asking about TH free calves out of MAB.

At least I'm not the only one who picked up on that (pop)

Yeah I was just looking at that bull when she started the thread and wondered because I have 2 THC cows. She said she's had good luck with MAB so she used his son. I'd like to know what she's using MAB on. I guess that's hijacking the thread.

I dont mind talking about MAB either. Our best luck was with a Shorthorn x Charolais cow (JPJ X Yahtzee) and a JPJ x Heatwave cow. I had a decent MAB out of an Ice Breaker cow last spring. Not a bad calf but he's not a jackpot steer. He never got very hairy but will make a good fat steer.

So are your cows have some mass and bone too them?  Seems to me that a lot of people are breeding MAB to Charolais cross cattle.  From his picture, I would guess flatter made cattle.  Would you say so far that THF MAB's calves are similar to his sire's?

I thought I had better pics of the cows I used MAB on. So ill take some tomorrow of them. Both cows are moderate framed, clean fronted, probably weigh about 1300-1400 pounds. I've learned you need to breed him to very clean/smooth fronted cows. He can throw the shoulder to them. We only have the 1 THF MAB so I really cant tell ya what kind of cows he works on. Thats why I started this thread. I was hoping to see what cows other people used him on. Im thinking he's gonna be like his sire and I think possibly power up calves from plainer made cows.

This is the JPJ x Yahtzee cow we had the most luck breeding to MAB. We've flushed her twice to him and AI'd twice. Gonna breed her to Extra Special but starting to rethink that after having this THF MAB calf. Im really surprised that no one on here has any calves hitting the ground or soon to hit the ground.

HEY MAINE GIRL-and anybody interested-heres a TH PHA free son ready to use-and hes one of the better MABS Ive seen O0 O0
This bull has got to have close to the best front 1/3 of any MAB sons that I have seen. Maybe not the stouted bone but I like him. Who owns him and are they selling semen from this bull?

Ferrer Stock Farms Indiana-there's semen on him-his dam is a full sib to FSF Bearcat-shes about 4or 5 years old but there are already like 13 calves registered to her-including promo bull- FSF Warpaint. Im gonna guess hes got as much or more butt than almost any MAB too O0
