I don't know her but have been following the SD blizzard disaster.  I have read the other posts from first to last post on SP.  This young woman gets a pat on her back as do all who have stepped up to help these ranchers in their time of need.  Yes we have government intervention on some disasters but what we all need to remember is it US that helps the guy who needs it.  Relying on each other is what makes those helping and recovering so extraordinary.  I have the deepest respect for those that will find a way to remain part of the landscape of SD and for those that have helped them along the way.

So thank you to Jolie Wetstein from Laramie Wyoming. Jolie goes to Rock River School and is a proud member of Rock Creek FFA.

By Heifers for S. Dakota

The story of one recent donor -

A high school sophomore who is heavily involved in 4-H and FFA overheard the discussion between one of our organizers and a few who have pledged livestock. She approached the organizer the next day and stated that she wanted to donate her Supreme Heifer from the local county program. When she was informed that her heifer project would then be incomplete - she looked right at our organizer and said she thought the ranchers in South Dakota needed her more than the local heifer program did. She said that she has an uncle that lives up there who was affected and she wanted to make a difference.

God Bless you young lady, you will make a difference.

She will not receive an incomplete on the project as they are all so proud of her.

I have a friend that trains ranch horses and he donated one of his finished horses to a rancher that lost all of his horses.
