With all the bull hype going on since Denver.  I thought I would post a couple of pictures of the one that wasn't there.  His name is ZNT Moves Like Jagger.  He is an ET PB Maine bull out of GVC Suh, and the dam of Montego Bay, ZNT Jenna 707T.

I am sure there will be a few criticisms of him when comparing him to the pics and videos that just got published from Denver.  Keep in mind these things.

1. He is a 16 month old bull, and has already been to the bull stud and froze flush quality semen.
2. Pics were taken after pulling him from the bull lot and washing him for the first time in 3 months
3. He lives in Texas, and does not live in a cooler or show barn.  It was 81 the day before the pics were taken here.
4. He has never had his hooves done, never eaten show feed, and never had any cosmetic surgery done.
5. No adhesive was used for the picture.  Just a 1 hour clip job and a little final bloom.
6. The only Photoshop done to the picture was making it B/W because he pawed dirt on him, and cropping out the extra background.

Y'all know my website, so if you need any more information, pics, or video, it is posted there, or you are more than welcome to PM, call, or text me.

I hope some of you get in touch with Zane while at Fort Worth to view this bull and other calves. This bull is super smooth, big scrotal with a pedigree that is hard to beat. This is a cow maker deluxe IMO.

Did. Castrated them both. One I like but he is horned and out of my high tenderness "validated" so I'm going to eat him.  The other is polled but a little leathery.  Both weighed 90.

Another bull that wasn't in Denver...  Hoping to do some clipping and picture taking this weekend.  He's 12 months old, and been running with 10 heifers for just over a month now.  Grass hay, and a worn out stalk field.

Thank you to everyone for the complements.  We are very excited about the prospects of MLJ, and think he has a lot to bring to both the Maine Anjou breed, and also the club calf industry.  He brings the mass and bone, yet possesses a pedigree full of fertility, milk, and defect free to produce outstanding females.

what is the breeding behind your shorthorn bull ?

Half blood Maine, 7/8 Shorthorn-- meaning he will sired purebred shorthorns from purebred shorthorn cows.
This bull is sired by Redline (PB Red Maine) with Vortec/ Gizmo/ Improver 57 and a triple shot of Elbee "Royal" cow line on the bottom.  This bull is made, bred, and expected to be a heifer safe sire.
For reference:  His dam's registration number: x4193152.  He is not registered yet.

He is a paternal brother to this bull pictured here, both are Redline sons.
This bull was champion Shorthorn Plus at MO State Fair this summer (if you see a show ring pic, it's not right).
This bull's registration number: *xAR55203.  and I encourage anyone to find a shorthorn bull with more pure muscle.
Again, he will sire purebred shorthorns from purebred shorthorn cows.

Neither son has been collected yet, both turned one year old in Jan.  The first pictured bull has been running with 10 heifers, and the 2nd bull will run with cows that are to be bred back for Jan calves.  Both will be collected shortly.  Semen is available on their sire- a bull that will work for Shorthorns, Maines, or clubby.  More additional pictures or info will be provided via PM if so requested.

Thank you for the question.

I would agree, in fact that goes for both bulls in this post so far, the video of the Maine bull is a great teaching example when talking structure. Just because they don't go to Denver does not mean they are overlooked diamonds in the rough.

It sounds like I better redo the video of him if it is making him look unsound. Everyone that has seen him in person have loved him, and have never commented on any structural issues.  I will admit he does not move out as freely as some bulls out there, but I have rarely ever seen a bull with as much mass as he does, move any better.

the white footed shorthorn bull has too much flex to his pastern... in fact, I would like to see him stronger and shorter in the pastern (lol)

The later video is better. Still wouldn't mind blowing him apart from underneath, and changing the way he strides off the outside of his rear left.
