No harm intended, but coming from someone who raises commercial and purebred cattle, you folks are nuts!

I am right there with you.  I hate it when any of my calves weigh over 100lbs!

we're purebred angus and all we use OCC genetics, have been for 15 years, if we have one born at 90lbs we'd think he was awfully big, most are 65 to 80

I have a question for all of you guys that use heatwave. Isn't the point to make the calves better the sire and dam? So way arn't his sons out producing him yet? I could be wrong on this. Or are we stuck with heat wave forever?

so far all have been unassisted so it's been a great season. Have 3 more to go & they're all due this weekend.

The baldy calf that came C-section is a Next Step, which is our herd bull. He is a Theobald 969 x Playboy. The heifer was out of Paddy O Malley.
