The Newest and Youngest Member of Steer Planet has Arrived!

The last couple of weeks have been a whirlwind.  My wife went in for her normal checkup and ended up getting admitted to the hospital.  We sat tight as long as we could, but they went ahead and had to induce her this past Wed. and we became first time parents about a month early to a little girl named Taylen Kathleen.  (she got her middle name from her mom)

The good news they are both doing well.  My wife actually got released from the hospital today, but gets to keep her room until little Taylen can come home.  Taylen got to take her off her breathing tubes on Friday morning, but has to keep a feeding tube and an iv until she can learn how to eat.  I think she will get the hang of it quick and hopefully we can all go home in the next week or possibly two.

The photo below is before she got her breathing tubes removed.  Its funny, because she looks a lot bigger in photos than she actually is.  I have a photo that I will try to post that has my hand in the frame and it gives you a better idea of her size.  She weighed just over 4 lbs with sandy blond hair.

Congratulations Jason!  I'm so glad everything has worked out great !  I'm sure you and your wife will have many changes in your life from now on, but they will be rewarding and meaningful .

Congratulations Jason. I'll second what RCR said. My youngest is almost 17 and it seems like she was just born yesterday.
