What is your favorite simmental bull to use and why? I am just wondering because I am starting to search for what simmental bulls I want to breed my heifers and cows to.

Jumpstart all the way through on heifers and cows.  We are not simmi breeders so we obviously dont have any purebred calves but we used Jumpstart on angus and angus x shorthorn cows last year and we love the calves.  All coal black, born light, very vigorous at birth and have just exploded thus far.  Very long bodied and extra thick.  You would never guess by looking at the calves now that they were so small when they were born.  Most all of the heifers were in the 70's and the bulls were upper 70's to high 80's.  Also, they are very neat fronted for simmi sired calves and have had a few clubby guys through that think some of the Jumpstart daughters could be neat breeding pieces for the clubby deal.

There is alot of good simmental bulls out there to choose from.
Dream On and Steel Force are great if you can get semen.
I've got nice cows out of Mr. MT, Lucky Dice, and Dream Doctor to.
Powerstroke sons seem to do well for me also.
Also had good luck with a Star Power son.
Just bought an Triple C Invasion son from the Bulls of the Bluegrass Sale in Mt. Sterling, Ky for my back up herdsire, he looks good.

Other bulls I like but haven't yet tried are Amazon, SS Undreamabull, Foreman, JS Analyze This, Flying B Cut Above, BMR Explorer, Dream Catcher, THSF Black Pearl.
If you want to try a Red Sire I'll go with Mr Amigo he has done great for me.
I don't get to AI to many with my time schedules.
GOOD LUCK

I'm a big fan of In Dew Time. He makes fantastic females and has great male progeny too. Great dispositions on his calves.

SAS T101 Sweet Meat - an In Dew Time son that offers more performance while maintaining a nice pattern. He was my heaviest sire group this year at weaning. I used him heavily again on Angus cows hoping to make some really nice F1s. Great dispositions as well.

WS Beef Maker R13 - great red Simmy bull. Great EPDs, calves come small and grow like crazy. Won't produce showy females, but great all around bull.

SVF Star Power - He's grown on me since I first used him a couple years ago. His daughters all did a great job on their first calves. He adds performance and eye appeal. I wouldn't mind trying him again on some Angus cows.

I bred to BMR Explorer this year. Have heard he adds eye appeal, middle and corrects structure. A friend says his calves are super fancy. Can't wait to see mine.

I also used two SimAngus bulls...TNT Dual Focus and GW Premium Beef. Dual Focus is a great heifer bull, had no assists using him. He makes cowy females, but not showy by any means. I've heard lots of good things about GW Premium Beef, can't wait to get mine.

This is a update. I researched Jumpstart after the recommendation from here and just wanted to let everyone know it worked out great. I used him on a Grandmaster heifer and she had a solid black heifer, 75lbs, jumped right up and was nursing. I will see if I can get my daughter to get a photo of her in a bit.

Grandmaster and In Dew Time on the heifers , well proven they both work well and make saleable calves. On cows id say 3C Macho on anything real deep and soggy , Dream On for the taller not quite as deep and soggy , Steel Force for middle of the road. Also like Upgrade but havent sampled him yet.
