I know this bull isn't a big named show bull by any means but we got a cane of semen given to us by a really close family friend. So I couldn't turn it down.

That being said what are your thoughts and opinions on him and what kind of progeny is he producing? We are planning to use him on a few heifers this December.

I keep a "list" of angus bulls that I interest me (good or bad), and cut and paste info I find. Here is what I have on Remedy. This is from 2015 (I left out names of "contributors"):
7/2015: "He's on the radar and could be sampled here this fall. Ellingson bought the bull out of a sale in TN. Sampled there with first calves sp '14. Chad said the calves were pretty small and didn't look like much early on but started to surface by summer. I think there were three sons in his sale this spring that sold for around $1,000 above the sale average. I believe is top selling heifer was also out of Remedy. Have not seen a performance pedigree but EPD movement indicates the growth has been pretty good on the first few calves. Looks like SC could be an issue along with BW.(trending too low IMO)"
"In full discloser I own an semen interest in Remedy, and have worked with the Bellemere Maid cow family on the dam side of Remedy's pedigree for over 20 years. The Remedy's I have are 11 months old and from what I see to this point he will improve feet and docility plus the cattle are slick haired and shed out early. Remedy will add more length of body, muscle, and bone than his sire. Everyone that visits to see the Remedy's agrees that the bulls are good, but the females are better. I expect Remedy's daughters to be very good. The Bellemere Maid's are fertile, easy fleshing cows with good udder structure and they are long lived. The breeder of Remedy still has his dam, grand dam, and great grand dam in production..."
"Looks like at this point 5.5 to 6.0 frame females, no extremes either way, they are uniform and consistent in type."
"Saw him presale in TN; he's built right from the ground up, better than the online video."

Other notes: Reported 36cm yrlg scrotal. (Remedy's epd's after the single step AAA on 7/7 sure picked up!)

Here's Remedy's sale video, if you haven't seen it(@16 months?):  https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZovKOoNYSXQ
