Looking for opinions or thoughts on this bull. Is he calving ease? safe to use on heifers? Does anyone have any progeny out of him that they could post pictures of or reports on calf performance?

Thanks

You might also call Brian Kohlstaedt in Missouri.  They owned the bull and used him quite a bit.

I saw calves by hime at Kohlsteadts on two occasions. I felt this bull was really "under promoted" - smooth jointed thick and sound when used on very coarse type show genetics. I would talk to Brian's father for details regarding the daughters. Again I breed for the" breeder type "shorthorn and this bull showed those qualities. Great tool for shorthorn cattle-

We used Regal for two years on heifers and had no problems calving them. most were unassisted and a couple were easy assists. His daughters are some of our best producers. We also have two 2 year olds by his full brother Diamond Urban Legend 28U and they both calved unassited this spring (the calves were by Eionmor Piper 23Z and we had excellent results calving 2 year olds to him) The Alta Cedar Diablo 52X bull used at Alta Cedar and Creekside was out of a Diamond Regal Legend 4R daughter.
Attached are pics of three of his daughters.

I purchased Regal Legend for Koehlstadts and Aldens in okotoks fall sale several years ago. I recommended him very highly to them. He was a true beef bull with lots of natural thickness, fleshing ability and sound structure. I was very impressed with his excellent feet and legs.. he had big feet like pie plates that were well formed. I also was very impressed with the calves I saw from him in the sale. IMO, he is a very good bull and I expect he did these herds a lot of good.
