We are a small operation in West Michigan with Maine Anjou base. Attached are the females we are working with. Pic 1 is of a Hoff/6807 angus cow bred for a march calf by Saugahatchee 3000C. pic 2 is of our GVC Suh x Aunt B (granny creek) bred for a March calf by I-80. Pic 3 is our Ali x Saugahatchee 3000C cow bred for a march calf by Heat Seeker. we feel we have a solid base of females to grow on. Just curious what others may think. We are always up for talking cattle and if you are interested, we love to show them.

The only one I would comment on is the 3rd (as I like the first 2) I would clean her up in the shoulder and neck (more feminine) also her udder (and it could be the picture too and the white making it hard to really see how that teet placement is)

I do really like the first cow (for me) she has all that is right for what I would look for in a brood cow......I guess outside of seeing her move and comformation!

Other then that you have a nice start, best of luck
;D

Very nice herd you have put together, and I really appreciate seeing you use the Green Valley Cattle Genetics in your herd.  We have an awesome PB GVC Suh son that we are just starting to promote.  We will be using Suh again, along with the Hawkeye bull of Dennis' this fall.

thanks for the feedback. The Ali cow is better fronted than she presents herself in the pic. she is a bigger female and the biggest knock on her would be her udder and teats, but she milks great and weans off a heavy calf every year. ZNT, I am a huge fan of GVC and am leaning towards breeding all 3 to Special Delivery this next year. The Suh female is outstanding and has the best disposition of any animal I have ever worked with. I have heard good things about the Hawkeye calves, but have not seen any in person. What is the name of the Suh bull you will be promoting?

His name is Moves Like Jagger.  He is a GVC Suh out of the dam of Montego Bay.
