Has anyone seen this bull or know anything about him?

That HW cow is from a flush of a heifer that did alot of winning in the midwest for Freeman if I'm not mistaken. Lautner actually offered embryo's out of the mating online about a year ago. I guess that might have been a worthy investment.

He was one of the best bulls in the yards this year IMO. Not the thickest or heaviest muscled, but very complete and definitely stout enough.

Anyone know anything about birth weights on this bull.  Have a cow in mind I may like to use him on.

CAB is correct, he is currently at Hawkeye Breeders in Adel. I stopped there yesterday and looked at bulls. He appears to be extremely soound and has excellent foot placement. He appears to have some grow and I would consider him ideal in frame size. He is also very extended out through the front end and has an excellent disposition. However, he is not overly thick and not overly heavy boned. He appears to be a bull that would sire good heifers, but with Heat Wave on the pedigree I would question their ability to milk. In my mind he is the most complete coming yearling bull I seen at both Nichols and Hawkeye. Most of the other coming yearling bulls concern me in the fact that they may not get very big (smaller than moderate) or are going to be to straight of the hind legs. If people have the time while they are at the Iowa Beef Expo, I would enourgae people to go view the bulls and make your own assement as to what bulls would work best for their operational goals. Hawkeye has excellent facilites and the bulls are typically easy to view. If you have any questions I am sure someone will be around to answer them.
