About a year ago I posted a pic of this Tm Gus X K-Kim Castlerock son on SP. I thought I would post another picture about a year later to show his progress. We just sold him to Tony Kershaw (Ex-Herdsman for Don Cagwin). Tony came to look at heifers and left with a bull. Who said you can't sell roan horned bulls in Illinois? :)

Thanks! We retained a 1/4 semen interest and the right to buy possession back when Tony is done using him. If he had been polled he would have never left. I wish I had taken the time to clean him up and get a better picture. I don't have a problem with using a horned bull if he is good enough, but it is a bit of a hassle.

Tony wasn't even looking for a shorthorn and said he had planned on breeding all of his cows clubby until he found this bull. I think he has A.I. sire potential. What do you think of his name Wise's Bedlem? Sounds pretty catchy to me.

Wise's Paige 640 Castlerock X WHR Sonny. She was Reserve Calf Champ at Illinois behind Kearns Miss V8 Mona Michelle in 2007. Her dam was our Sonny cow that won the Jr show at Denver in 2005.  Our Red bull that was Reserve Grand at Illinois this past year was her previous years calf.

That's a good bull even with mud and no clip job!  Too bad more people can't tell a good one unless they're all shined up.

Thank you. It amazes me how people can't see the good in one if it is not cleaned up. It also amazes me how bad some of these bulls are that make it as A.I. sires. Oh well, to each their own. Everyone has the right to make their own decisions.

PM what you heard as I have not talked to Tony since he got the bull. I will have to call him, but if he sold him that is fine with me as I will be getting some of that money.  :)  This reminds me of when he bought Radioactive off of Moore's and then resold him for more than triple. Oh well, I like it when my customers make money that is just good business.
