The beat pulp that my local feed supplier has been getting in the past two weeks has been really really fine with a whole lot of molasses in it. It's almost like dust.  Our cattle have backed off it.  It also has a slight odor to it.

Is the Mfg's just at the end of a run of this and cleaning out a bin?  Anyone else seeing this.

This is just a guess, but to me, it sounds like someone had a batch going bad, so they ran it through a process and tried to add molasses to it to hide it as best they could, but you'll never fool a calf by doing that  and if it's too fine, cattle do not like that in their mouth and will back off. I would ask my supplier and more than likely want something done about it. JMO. Brent
