Too much belly

What breed? A first calf heifer would get culled over here if she had a 40 pound calf. I expect them to lay down and spit out a 80 pound calf, without assistance (though I like them in the high 70's).


But, the industry is so geared toward fluffy pets that seem more on propping up the "fitting industry" to keep the products company in business.  I thoroughly enjoyed the blow and go San Antonio show over the Fort Worth puff them up with adhesive show.

I do not like the fluff and puff either. I prefer no-fit shows.


I have also herd from breeders that the commercial heifers in the pasture make better cows than their show heifers and don't produce the milk like the commercial heifers.
