Are they still in business?  If not, I know someone that would gladly take Young Money off their hands.

Can anyone enlighten us as to what happened to Trausch Farms and their Semen Company and where they and their business is now?  Any plans for the future?

A lot of people get into this business as a write off for other ventures that they have and are good at. If they don't / can't find the right management team the length of time that they survive is somewhat short. If you ever had the opportunity to visit with the Trausch about cattle it wouldn't take many of you long to discover that they were a fish out of water. Bob has had other businesses that were very, very successful.

I spoke with Esther in the fall and the management that they had after Chris Wilson left to go back to the family farm, Raymond Gonnet left to start up CEG, and Brad Punt moved to northern Iowa, just couldn't match what that threesome brought to the table. Chris, Raymond, and Brad made a hell of a team, and continue to carry a lot of respect in the industry.
Also, there were some health issues that they needed to address and pay for and their focus (and money) just couldn't be put into the cattle business going forward. Wish them all the best

If I'm not mistaken I believe they owed alot of money to people in the cattle industry and the guys knew it was going south so they left for other ventures in the cattle world. I don't know if this is fact or rumor.
