One of the bulls listed or any suggestion that is th and pha free.  Must be Char influenced - the goal here is to make sound bulls and females.  She is a 3/4 Sh  1/4 RA ( Captain x powerplayxmonu 4x).  We sold her and retained  1/2 embryo interest, she is due to calve in April.

What's wrong with her head?  She looks off in the mouth, and parrott headed.

Captain Morgan is my suggestion...

I have seen a few Yellow Jacket's and am actually feeding one now.  The ones I have seen have been out of Maine x Angus Dirty cows. I really love the bone and foot size and how correct they have all seemed in their feet and legs.  What I don't like is the frame size on some of them ( a little on the large side).  Not super good hair.  The man who calved these Yellow Jacket's out has been in the business for many, many years and said they were some of the biggest calves he has ever had.  Again, this is just been my experience and I just thought I would share the info for what it's worth.  Good luck with your flush.

What do you hope to get:  a bull, heifer, or a steer prospect?  Sorry -didn't read the post close enough to notice what you wanted.

Want a heifer:  Yellowjacket all the way.

Want a bull:  I'd lean more towards George or Troubador.  Troubador if you want to swing for the fence for a steer producer, George if you want more all-around.  Troubadors can get real straight, but you should be ok on her.  YJ bulls probably aren't as marketable, and you'd only have 1/4 blood Charolais.  Most of the crossbred Char bulls that really work are halfbloods.

Want a steer prospect:  You need something from the Heatseekr-Heatwave line, hence WJ's recommendation for Lovin the Business (who is a Solid Gold son).  I'd probably consider Solid Gold himself also.  George is a no for steers, Troubador works best on TH carrier cows.  Yellowjacket steers are too big and too hard to finish.

Thank you.  I really loved the Lot 4 Polar Ice son that sold in Kris Black's sale last fall. .... Polar Ice is not available so I thought about George

Doc, thanks

I did see Horn webpage- thanks for the pm's . He has a cool looking 069" buckskin" bull too.  I should have said this earlier- outcross to Heatwave even it's clean.  I appreciate the nice "catttlemen " comments about Horns breeding.... again bulls with a breeding back ground .    I thought I might mention this female could throw a roan? Her dam and MGS are roan...
