Nothing but good news. I am very excited about the calves we have and how they are performing. The Renegade calves compare to the Star Bucks and Complete calves when it comes to growth. We are feeding a lot of heifers, bulls, and steers right now and it's amazing how a "sleep all night" calving ease bull can sire calves that perform this well. These aren't calves that are huge framed by any means. These are moderate framed calves that are going to fatten out at 1200-1300 lbs. As an added bonus they are very attractive looking calves too. His epd's have only improved on calving ease and birthweight as he is in the top 2% in calving ease and top 1% in birthweight with his BW epd already approaching 50% accuracy. I can confidently say that this bull can absolutely be used on heifers. The consistency that he has brought down birth weights on high birth weight genetics is what gives me that confidence. We are pretty much breeding him to anything and everything we have. If you have questions let me know.

If you look at the all-important $CEZ, $F and $BMI percentiles, what more can you ask for!

Typically If you add bone you lose calving ease

Agreed! Plenty of cattle with bone now a days. You can always add that later. Sleeping all night with a group of heifers and being able to wean off good weights come market makes me feel better. Lots of bulls out there will add bone and frame esp in shorthorn breed.

We are getting close to calving out our first Renegade bred heifers. They have grown well and are looking good. They are moderate framed, easy fleshing, structurally correct, docile, and look like they will make excellent cows.

Here is an A&T Renegade 124 sired bred heifer due in about 45 days to Leachman Testify. She is a typical Renegade heifer in type. They have been very consistent in their look.

Here is a pic of an A&T Renegade heifer out of a Jake's proud Jazz cow born this January. She is a purebred Shorthorn.

Here is a picture of Renegade from about a week ago. Also, his 2 year old daughters all calved unassisted and have really good udders. We also got results back on his calves from the Great state feedout steer carcass futurity and Renegade calves were 100% choice or better.
