This is my steer I'm showing this year. Hes registered shorthorn.  Weighing probably 1150 not sure. He is on the shorter side.  What do you think about him?

When is your show?
I would get him on a finisher (lower protien) and some Stabilized Rice Bran, he has a good frame, I would just start to soften him up a little. He looks like he could put on another 200 pounds and carry it easy, just needs some fat on him to go with it.

My fair which is also a market show is at the end of July so we are just starting to push him. He has some hair but its pretty warm here so I don't see him gaining g to much more hair.  He has all he wants for feed. Its a corn grain molasses and mineral mix.  And yes he is the gauge steer

I'm also showing him at another show in two weeks. Do you think he has enough condition to do well at the closer show?

You have a very nice looking steer. I would get with your feed guy and see what you could do for some quick cover like what was mentioned before. He looks like he could be a pretty competitive county fair steer.  <beer>

We got fifth in showmanship and seventh in market.  I think we could have done loads better if he had behaved in the ring.  The judge really liked his frame and bone but needed more condition.

I really like your steer but like the guys said above f you could give him some " shape " he'd be pretty darn nice! But all that would take is the right feed mix, when's your fair?
