I am looking at "up dating" my vaccination schedule and making sure I have my animals adequetly covered year round for what they need to be covered for. I am wondering what others use for vaccinations, when you vaccinate with what vaccine, and what you vaccinate each for(i.e cow, heifer, bull, calf). I know for the calves their vaccines depends on weaning time. We start calving Jan-Feb and done by April-May unless we get one that didnt stick until their very last chance, and we start weaning the heifers I'm going to show in June and the rest are around August.

I know all areas need different coverage depending on the parasites and such. I live in MN, so I need coverage for that area when talking parasite coverage and such. I have also thought about taking a fecal sample to the vet and seeing what parasites are found that way. Has anyone done this? waste of time and money? Useful?

Thanks!

This is best discussed with your vet. We use bovi 5fp and 8way on out momma's along with scour guard. Then hit the calves at branding with bovi5gold+one shot and 8way then redo calves the same at weaning. Hitting the terminal calves with an implant as well at weaning. Outside calves coming in also get draxxin just to make pen checking easier on us. That being said each region and situation has unique needs.
