How do you use these? Do you leave them in the show cattle pen year round? Do you take them to shows?

I'm using them right now because I have brought in some show heifers that were raised somewhere, purchased and shipped, and then I bought them and they were shipped again. Plus, the weather is up and down right now.

BUT my dealer told me that I shouldn't need to feed them after that. I don't know if that is true, or if he just doesn't want to pay the freight to get them to me.

We leave them with all of our weaned calves 24/7 while they are going thru the process or as long as we are messing with them like halter breaking. All the show calves have access to them at night in their turnout pens.

Full disclosure I work for VitaFerm. Your dealer is partially right. You don't have to provide a Vita Charge Stress Tubs all the time, although lots of people do and it won't hurt them. Their purposes is for times of stress like hauling to shows, weaning, feed changes, weather changes, etc. So it sounds like now is a good time to leave them in. If you do like the VitaFerm products Sure Champ is what should be fed everyday, and then Vita Charge during extra stress or preparing for stress. The reason behind this is the vitamin pack in the Stress Tub is good, but not enough mineral to fulfill daily need, Sure Champ on the other hand is fortified to meet daily need. Both products have Amaferm in them to stimulate appetite and improve digestion of your base feeds and other supplements.

Love the VF stress tubs but I do have a problem with them.
It's kinda hard to take a tub to shows.
I'd like to see a 10-20lb tub the size of a "goat" bucket.
Small enough for kids to handle and it won't take up much space in tie outs or in the barn stall.

Thanks for the suggestion. It is actually something we are looking into. In the meantime you might like our Vita Charge Liquid Boost. It has the Amaferm, vitamins and mineral, and mos like the Stress Tubs, but in a liquid form. You can use it as a top-dress or pour it in a water bucket. The pigs guys are running it through a mediator.
