Unions were much need when we the government didn't have a minimum wage or requirements on safe working conditions.  Now they are nothing more than tax added to the cost of everything.

We will never compete with the labor of china who is going to work for a couple dollars a day.

Do we tighten our restrictions on imported goods - higher import tax?  More tax incentives for businesses that stay in the US - but we are already in a huge deficit and with all this extra spending.

I love it how everyone is trying to place blame on companies announcing layoffs or reducing hours, they told you this was going to happen under the current government policies.  Private businesses are not like the government - they can't print money, they can't raise their deficit, they react to market conditions.  The conditions are unfavorable so they scale back.

Just to clairfly I am reading from other media how these businesses are being unfair and we should boycott them NOT from the article above.

I am not saying that they shouldn't use cheap labor but the president regardless of who it is, when they give a company money to help stabilize our economy, the money should be spent here in the USA, not to build a plant in China or Taiwan!

why should the government give money to any company?

170 people layed off from Wright Pat Airforce Base Dayton, Ohio.  The whole state was red except big cities  up north and columbus  We need to do away with the electoral vote. 

I agree with IRH , I saw a map of the country that was almost solid red except for the large cities . It's time for a change in the way we elect our president !

the electoral college is actually an attempt to protect rural areas from the denser populated areas or more populated states.

plain and simple.  republicans didn't vote.  both mccain and kerry got more votes than romney.

republicans can't blame romney, only THEMSELVES.
