Wade Rodger's Outcross "Extra Special"
« on: February 26, 2014, 11:43:23 AM »
There has been a lot talk on here about finding a clubby bull with a total outcross pedigree, Rodger's may have found it. This is straight from their blog. I have nothing to do with Rodger's or Extra Special, just was surprised no one on the board had brought him up yet. I really like the looks of him for an outcross, but I want to see some calves!

It is great seeing a bull with that look, bone, and power that doesn't go back to Heatseeker. Anxious to see how his future plays out. (thumbsup)

I agree, I mean he isn't perfect. Doesn't appear to be level across his top for example IMO, but just the thought of the total outcross with the pro's you stated make him a real good option.

Before I get too excited and say total outcross I would sure like to know the "Maine" in there.
Some peoples true character only comes out in PMs.

I would also like to see what maine is in this bull's pedigree. If this bull is in fact a total outcross, it could be exactly what the clubby industry needs. #The next heatseeker

Just had a set of twins from this bull. Both born dead. Bull calf weighed 100 pounds and the heifer calf weighed in at 80 pounds. This was unfortunate as it was the first  calves we have ever lost. Both calves were beautiful. One red and one smoke and white.  Debating on the size of these two if I should even attempt.it again. Used him on a hired man cow.
