Well, I think it just really depends on the maternal side of the female. I have 2 walks alone daughters. The 1st one is out of a shorthorn cow. Doesnt have the most abundant amount of milk but has raised 2 decent show steers for us. Our other one was more of a market looking heifer and had just enough milk to satisfy the calf. She had a nice little angus heifer so we kept her and sent her momma down the road.

I kept four Walks Alone heifers out of Simmental and Sim/Angus cows.  They are turning out to be good cows with adequate milk.  I think Walks alone compliments, sound, maternal cows.
