I have had best luck with popping the wart and putting it in the feed.  Sounds odd but if you couple that with some wart treatment from wal mart has worked really well for me.  Start early.

we had them real bad last year all over the face and body.  we were told to cut them off and feed them back, We cut some off but I found it easier on the body to use a cury comb and scrap them off,    I was also told to cut them or scrap them off so they would bleed.

If you do a search on here I think you can find info.

We haven't had them all year and over the weekend my sons steer had one apear on the eye lid, if anyone know of anything for that please let me know

Our vet said to get a pair of pliers and grap hold of them and pull them out. looks really nasty cause they leave a big hole but if you can pull them all the way out they dont grow back

We have done  as stated above and it works.  Seems to be the best way to get rid of warts.

pull them with pliers and feed them its the best medicine!! It builds there immune system against it! We have also had the vet cut them and suture them a couple weeks before shows and  the one that were cut also got feed to them! They also make a vaccine for warts its good to use if you go to tons of show you wont bring them back with you! The wart that is on the eyelid needs to be surgically removed not advised to pull that one!!

I've always preferred to cut them off if I can, not very often do they come back.  Had one steer last year that we just couldn't get cleared up - I cut them off and fed 'em to him, pulled them off with pliers, they just kept coming back.  Took him to the vet and he put on a pair of surgical gloves and pulled and twisted off every one of them by hand that was big enough to get ahold of and cut off the rest.  His theory was the same as pulling them off with pliers - squeezing enough of it back into the system so they'll produce specific anti-bodies to keep the warts from coming back - but evidently his method worked better, because that was the end of 'em.

This has always worked for us.  Squeeze several of the big warts or clusters with a pair of plyers but don't pull them off.  The next day they will be swollen and basicly have a blister around them, When they get to this stage just leave them alone.  Don't pop the blisters.  I was told that the fluid that surrounds the wart is the calfs body fighting the warts and the virus that causes them.  They will all be gone in 2 to 3 weeks.
