If you're bored in the OFFICE or at HOME.....you can keep me company if you like.  I'm working on 56 head for Tracy Goretska's upcoming sale on the 16th, and there's NOT a BAD ONE in the bunch.

I'll be editing and uploading them to his video site at www.youtube.com/tracygoretska

Selfless plug. Please take time to go look @ the # 6 Wilson X Heat Wave steer @ Goretska's or on Brad's youtube site. The place to use Wilson is on those carrier cow's. Limited semen left & Wilson is gone. Semen can be bought from one of the owner's. Available @ Hawkeye in Iowa & Champion Genetics in Texas. All of the semen was collected in Texas. For those of you that don't know Wilson is the sire of Sunseeker. Registration # S  337012.

No I didn't raise the # 6 calf and haven't found out where he was raised. I think that I have it pretty well narrowed down.
I and 4 other partners owned Wilson. He's a bull that got lost in the BS of the club calf world. Limited amount of juice left.

what does wilson work on and what does he change?

If you look @ his pedigree you'll see that he is a little lined up with throttle and I thought that he may make calves taller, but doesn't. Actually he seems to moderate calves. He will throw some color if it is in the cow, like say a percentage Ma. cow. Breeds similar to Dr. Who & Hannibal, but smaller than both. I have only pulled one Wilson calf & that was out of a 2nd calver that for some reason came bigger than I thought it would. Sunseeker was out of a 1st calf Heat Seeker heifer, but I couldn't recommend Wilson on heifers. If the cows are sound the calves will be sound also. His best calves come out of carrier cows with some stout power. Wilson was a long fronted, long bodied bull. He was scurred, but I can't remember him having any horned calves here. Kenny Brown from Afton,Iowa has the most Wilson cows of anyone in the country. Remember that all of the great Sunseeker calves that have been seen for the last years are 1/4 Wilson blood. There's a picture of a Wilson heifer and her 1st calf on a thread here not too long ago titled OCC Legend calf. Scroll down on that thread to get a look @ a good Wilson heifer out of a PB Angus cow.

Brad I see tracy has 15 breds, are you going to video some of them? Waiting to see the who da man heifer.

They were clipping them today and starting everything at $1500.  There will be NO VIDEOS of these breds.  The Who Da Man heifer is toward the end of the list we videod....not because of quality.....just because that's the pen she was in.  Hope to have ALL 57 done today.

Nice set of calves! Being in Texas doesn't Goretska have another sell after Fort Worth?
