Frosty -- seems we all are nthe MODE these days. I failed to adhere to my golden rule this year -- and just weaned when I felt like it.  WRONG choice ! hehehe

If you like lots of music from the pens for days on end -- wean em when the moon is growing or almost full !! You will wish you were deaf!

In most years, I always wait to wean until the moon is on the downside of 1/2 full and getting smaller, coming up later at night as well. For some reason, once it gets dark, they just give it up sooner and rest, but if the moon is full they can apparently still see the cows better -- and they sing all night long.

It has worked well for years. Hope Colo is the same as Neb!! hehehe
