Weaning Calves Pictures

Helped wean some of a bull clients calves today. The cows are South Devon and Angus/South Devon X. Pictures of the Cows average wt 670kg.We have had a very good year grass wise. This was a third of them he runs 330 cows.

These are the calves. He calves in August for 6 weeks and the calves averaged 275kg. Note the sea in the back ground the farm is surrounded by sea on three sides it is 1000 acres and all calves are run on and fattened on grass till a carcase wt of 300 to 350Kg. 20 to 26months.

Great set of calves out of some nice looking commercial cows. Thanks for posting the pictures.

Telos more than welcome. Hope these cattle give everyone a bit of an incite into our type of cattle. Although this is the only South Devon herd I know of in our state but you can see why I am always on about frame and thickness thats what the client wants.
