I'm in on Heatwave as well....is there any other sire with that much influence...ever?  I simply like the way they feed and look as fat cattle.

Thats a hard question for me to answer. I have thought and thought. I have three bulls, each a different breed.

1.)  DHD Traveler 6807. Any black angus I use from here on out will have him in the immediate pedigree.
2.) LJC Mission Statement.  (Red Angus)One of the best all around proven bulls of our time.
3.) 7026 (shorthorn). He will be a foundation for my herd. My shorty genetics will be heavily influenced by him. I want to line breed him on Rob Sneed genetics.

I'm pretty high on SAV Net Worth.  He is a true changer.  I don't know if I've ever seen a bull work as well on an average cow as he does.  When you use him on the good ones....watch out!

So you think he would work well on Red Angus and Shorthorn? Do his calves grow without creep? All grass? Curious on ur thoughts.

For us and our program its hard to pick just one. We have used some for very specific reasons.
Sonny like his females
Gizmo also like his calves period
Who Made Who makes them pretty, like his momma's and is a clean clubby
Heat Seeker for terminal Sire
Heat Wave if we could just get his BW down.
OCC LEgend and Northern Improvement calving ease deluxe.
Macho for females.

We try a new sire every year to see how they work.

How have the dispositions been on your net worth calves?

I'm curious. Not that familiar but always heard good things. What  did you like most about him? Dislikes?

The consistency of phenotype is what I like best!  The ones that i have been around have all had the same lines, muscling, and structural correctness! He's an easy calver, I've bred him to first timers with no problems, but I really like him as a second calver on up.  I currently have three cows out of him, and all three are easy keeping, docile, have great udders and milk their tails off.  My only dislike is that you only get a hairy calf when bred to a hairy cow.
