What are y'all paying for alfalfa right now

I just bought some great 2nd cutting beautiful alfalfa in round bales for $105/ton delivered to my place. Last year this stuff was a little less but I think a little lower quality as well.
Anyone else have to buy hay out there and what does it cost you?

The last time I bought alfalfa I think I paid $100 for a 4x8 bale.

85.00 a ton for what I call lower end grinder hay, FOB

The good stuff, just a tick uner dairy -- is still 110.00 FOB, putting it at least 120 a ton delivered.

And alot of folks woner why I have to charge 4.00 a day for the donors -- this is a perfet way to lose money -- but the cows are happy critters all the time!

Sold all my 1st for $135. Its dairy quality hay and even though they had to come pick it up they gave me a premium because I use a New Holland baler that grinds the hay and puts it into 3by 4by 8 bales. That way its easy to transport and they don't have to grind it.

Dairy quality alfalfa in Minnesota is 85-90 cents per point of RFV delivered in big squares.

This year, you could buy good alfalfa around here,for less than half of what has been mentioned in this thread so far. Too bad trucking costs make it impossible to move hay very far.

where are you at? 

$14.50 for a 70lb square bale.

Central Nebraska...$85 to $90/Ton for good round bales.  Native grass hay is just a touch cheaper...

Too stinkin' much for the local *rap that the yieldmongers around here offer for sale. New crop over matured 5' rounds will bring 95 each.  Idiots around here focus on yield and not quality and use the excuse that its beef cow hay.  It should be used for road side mulch if you ask me.  It pains me to buy alfalfa in these parts, give me grass, even headed out grass over the stemmy alfalfa.

Sorry for the strong opinion, but its honest and truthful for my parts.

Quality out of state grown alfalfa will bring 200+ a ton from the dairy guys.
