Just weaned my Tiny Tim x Sim heifer two days ago, did a rough clip and just started working her sunburnt hair, she walks like a cat, only thing im worried about is she will be to small to be competitive. I guess we'll find out.

that is a tough mountain to climb, I showed a heifer this past show season, she was born april 17 and she just couldn't quite compete with those older heifers. I ended up pushing her a little to hard and now i kind of regret it. Your heifer looks good though.

I think a lil more time with mom won't hurt, turn her out at night with the cow.Hard to make money with cows if they only have 3 months to raise a calf.

You might worm her, sometimes that Brown hair means worms, should help her gain a little better too. Very nice heifer though.

I am in the process of weaning one now that was born 4/7
She is still sucking a little but have started the weaning process with her so I can move her to the "big" barn within the next month.

I agree, with her being a younger calf she would do well in her age class but when she went back for the championship, she would never place against the older cows.  I am hoping that changes once I start again in the spring and she has some more size to her.

You have a nice looking heifer, good luck!!
