Is semen available?
Yes it is. But not through any major distributor. We are just selling it privately for right now.

I think he looks a lot like the other 57,000 heatwave sons out there at stud. No offense, he looks good, and my frustration is not with you personally, but where does this industry end up if all anyone ever does is clone a calf or breed to heatwave? Guess I'm just discouraged by the narrow focus. Take this year for example, when something good hits that's all you see at all...I'm not sure anyone actually cut a bull calf out of Ali last year??? Like the bull fine, but he wasn't that unique within the breed, he was just the hot name. Just lots of people closing their eyes and breeding blindly to bulls because it's trendy.

You make some interesting comments, about all the trendy breeding. Isn't that the way the show cattle bussiness has always been? I can probably go back to the sixties and start with the so called purebreds and work my way up until the crossbreeding programs got hot,and I think you would find that it has always been the way it is right now. Until enough people use enough of the other bulls that are available, providing they start winning,on a regular basis, this trend will always continue. All of a sudden a new bull on the block that has no HW blood or any of the other popular sires, starts siring cattle that win and win alot, guess what happens? The trendy thing to do is use THAT NEW BULL!! It comes and goes in cycles, always has and probably always will.

i'd like to see him longer spined, deeper chested and a little more front extension, more set in his pasterns, yes i know he's stepping on the right hind, and more set in his stifle.
