This is a 2 year old purebred Simmental cow, and we have decided to consign her to the Royal Simmental sale. She is selling as a recip, carrying a Tim Burke embryo by his good Zeis Miss Zel T167 donor (she sold in 2007 Grindstone Creek Farm for $9500 and Burkes won the 2008 Nebraska State Fair Open Simmental with her) and Harkers Domination bull. She is due March 1st. She looks this good and is currently nursing an April 1st calf (pictured) by GCF Amigo. The cow is a Hummer granddaughter, and was shown a few times. We think she is doing  great job raising her April calf, and looks pretty good since she gets NO GRAIN and only on very limited pasture. And the calf is not creep fed (yet)...
So what do you think? My daughter really likes her heifer, and the only reason we are selling the cow is we have her heifer and three more embryos in the tank.  ;D

Whats not to like about her. As look at her left to right top to bottom she is balanced with plenty of body. Structurally good a nice cow maybe a bit good for a recip. (thumbsup)

I agree a pretty darn good cow there, and that heifer she is raisin is not to shabby either. From how she looks and what she is raising she definately wouldnt be in my recip pen.  If this is what you use for a recip then the rest of your herd must be flat out awesome.

Thanks for all your complements so far. My daughter is trying to convince me to not sell her, but you can not keep everything and we need to get our name out there. The recip is a bred and owned heifer, and since we are small, just about everything is a candidate for an embryo! I have three show heifers that are carrying an embryo (all two year olds that raised a natural calf this year), and a Cott Cottonwood x Preferred Beef two year old cow carrying one also. The rest of the herd is all AI'd.
She will be missed, all of my kids love her. But this is a business first....now to sell four bulls (Dec, Feb, March and April born)!  (lol)
