What do you think of this heifer? Raised her myself! She is a registered foundation simmental out of Hooks Shear Force, and she was born on 4-7-10. This photo was taken around October 2010.

Nice lines across the top, a little loose across the front(has most simmys are), would like to see a little bit longer hip area with some width coming from the back area, and as a breeding piece, which im sure she is going to be, would love to see some more rib in her.

She looks like a typical shear force heifer! We have one, in fact a pic of her in the No More Snow post earlier, but hard to see her in the snow! We also have a Pacesetter, who is a son of Shear Force. Love them both! Our Shear Force is a little on the small side, so we gave her an extra month to calve. She is a february, but not calving until March. They make great mothers from what I am told, we will see in a few months.
What is the rest of her pedigree?

Her dam is just a commercial cow out of a bull off of our farm! Her mother is a big cow. I heard that Shear Force heifers are great mothers as well! I looked at your No More snow post earlier and saw your cows they are very nice! Let me know how good of a mother your cow is.

I like her (thumbsup) She's the type that will keep you in business! I really appreciate her soft, cowy look. Looks like she's grown into her throat some, and if you play your cards right she could sure produce some really nice calves

She has turned out really well , good job. Im guessing that little bit of throat is coming from shear force but shes grown into most of it . Definitely a simmy !
